Abstract: The evaluation and valorization of cultural goods play a fundamental role in the preservation and sustainable management of cultural heritage. As cultural assets embody historical, artistic, and social values, the development of appropriate methods and techniques for their assessment has become increasingly important in both academic research and heritage management practices. This paper explores the evolution and application of contemporary approaches used in the evaluation of cultural goods, focusing on the integration of multidisciplinary criteria such as historical significance, authenticity, cultural relevance, and socio-economic impact.
The study analyzes methodological frameworks used in cultural heritage assessment, highlighting both qualitative and quantitative techniques that support the identification and recognition of cultural value. Particular attention is given to the role of expert analysis, institutional policies, and community involvement in the process of valorizing cultural assets. By examining current evaluation practices and identifying methodological challenges, the paper contributes to the improvement of assessment tools used in heritage management.
The findings emphasize the importance of systematic and transparent evaluation methods in enhancing the protection, promotion, and sustainable use of cultural goods within contemporary cultural policies and development strategies.
