Abstract: The experimental platform for Radiation Hardness Testing of Microelectronic Devices and Integrated Circuits is currently being integrated at the 3 MV Tandetron™ multipurpose facility of “Horia Hulubei” National Institute for Research & Development in Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH). The system was tested by monitoring the response of Si mono-crystalline crystals that were exposed to external proton beam of 2.7 MeV. The morphology of these samples after irradiation were evidenced using atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The first component of the CARD-SAT Nano-satellite that will be tested to different extreme conditions is the microchip ATmega 328p.
