Abstract:
We describe the calibration of four waterproof DS18B20 temperature sensors, and their subsequent use in the study of the Seebeck effect. Based on the experimental measurements, we develop and validate a theoretical model of the heat flows in the PHYWE thermogenerator. When there is no electric current flowing through the generator, and when the two junctions operate in the steady-state regime, an important relationship emerges between the four temperatures of interest.
